Brutus's Story
Brutus is a 3 years old Pug/Chihuahua mix. The ideal lap dog, he loves to cuddle and snooze in your lap while you watch TV or read.
Brutus enjoys being in the spotlight: last year he was on WTOL Your Day, a local morning show, as the featured animal. Turns out he was the perfect guest.
But the rescue center he was staying at knew he suffered from large growths and infections in each of his ear canals which caused him discomfort, frequent infections, and head shaking. Without surgery, he was looking at permanent ear damage and the likelihood of compassionate euthanasia.

Now, as adorable as he is, Brutus was extremely overweight. His vet told him he had to cut down on 🍬 and start 🏋to get the surgery (and six-pack abs). He knew it was the right thing to do. Here’s how sharp he looks after his surgery:
